I'd like to slide down that slippery slope, if you know what I mean

Peter Northup presents an unbelievably nuanced Kantian argument in favor of porn. The argument holds that "[T]he objectification of women [is] objectionable [because of] the cultural context that routinely denies women their subjectivity." The argument, devised by Leslie Green, is intended to except gay male porn from the otherwise blanket MacKinnon/Dworkin condemnation of pornography. But if one disputes that the cultural context sees "women-as-objects as the central case" or even if you just disagree, then left-leaning straight men can once again whack off to good, ol' fashioned naked chick porn without attendant liberal guilt.

Leslie Green, I salute you!
